The design process has a strong architectural influence coupled with fine tailoring. At the early stage of the project development, a moulding technique has been applied to achieve the sculptural shape of the outer garment and the mould was used as a starting point to experiment and explore the essence, idea of the coat. The dress is based on zero waste concept and essentially consists of square pieces put on a bias, precisely stitched together to drape over the female body in the most organic way

Material selection guides the design direction. The fabric’s hand – its weight, texture, movement – determine the volume and shape that can be achieved. Luxurious materials such as Mohair wool and heavy silk twill were used to create a sensual experience, accentuate the space between body and cloth and capture the essence of the garments
