Integral Vest
The Integral Vest was developed as part of the Design for Odsherred project, a commission exploring the material possibilities of a local fibre ecosystem in the Odsherred region of Denmark.
The brief was to create a wearable piece fully traceable to the animals of a single farm: sheep, goats, and alpaca. Every stage of production drew exclusively on local resources: raw fibre, natural mineral and plant dyes, and rainwater. The vest was made in collaboration with a local spinning mill, DVS, which provided the wool.
The seamless piece was created using wet felting and hand-finishing techniques, allowing the materials to determine the form. The result is a garment that carries the landscape of its origin in its texture, weight, and colour nuances.
