Full-length view of the Unfinished Dress: a floor-length raw linen shift with a deconstructed pair of Levi's jeans opened flat across the front, worn with a white blindfold.

 Unfinished Dress

2017

Unfinished Dress is part of a six-piece denim collection exploring deconstruction as a design position rather than an aesthetic gesture.

The piece takes the original Martin Margiela pattern from 2004 as its starting point, translated into Belarusian linen and reclaimed and reworked Levi’s denim. Raw edges, exposed seams, and an open silhouette are not incidental to the work but central to it: incompleteness as a deliberate formal choice.
